interview with Ellen

I interviewed Ellen Yaniv on zoom. I am researching coral reefs. She answered our questions in a fun and serious manner. When we told her we were researching coral reefs, she told us that Ellen’s husband loved scuba diving and often went to the ocean, so she had many opportunities to see coral reefs. We asked her three questions. The first was, “What do you think we can do for coral reefs?” She told us that education is very important. Second, “How do you think we can make more people aware of and concerned about the die of coral reefs?” She said, “I still think education is a big part of it. She also said education is a good way to teach and inform children about things, and education is a good opportunity to inform people about coral reefs. Third, “What do you think about the relationship between coral reefs and the economy? ” She said that she did not know much about coral reefs, so she did not know specifics, but that she thought coral reefs were important for the tourism economy because she had actually been a tourist in the ocean.

I interviewed her and was reminded of the importance of education. For many of us, when we receive an education, we had the idea that we would choose from the classes offered by the school. However, since she is an educator, I think she knew that education can convey many things to people. Interviews are a great opportunity to get a different perspective on things.
