I am researching coral reefs in the Research Seminar class, so I interviewed Ellen.
First, I asked her if she had ever seen a coral reef. She has seen coral reefs in many parts of the world. Her husband loved to dive, and they often visited the ocean together. The sea is familiar to her. When I asked her if she would choose a sea with beautiful coral reefs for diving, she said that while she doesn’t place that much importance on coral reefs, for many people, coral reefs will be a significant deciding factor when they are deciding where to visit. When I asked what she thought about the relationship between coral reefs and tourism, she said that he did not know the details but that it was true that tourism was damaging coral reefs and that the tourism industry must take the environment into consideration in the future. I learned through this class that coral reefs are in danger of extinction. Most people probably have never thought about coral reefs. So I asked her, as a teacher, for her opinion on how we can make people think more about the death of coral reefs. She responded that education is still essential. It is important that the next generation of children, who will carry the future, receive the proper education and have more opportunities to think about the environment.
As an ocean lover and a teacher, it was great to hear her valuable opinion.
