community servings

I went to volunteer at community servings. Each of them is in charge of a different department, and the work is progressing efficiently. There is a group that handles food, a group that packs food, and a group that sorts food into bags, and I was assigned to the group that handles food. I cut onions and bell peppers, helped clean up, and finished my three hours of volunteer work. I have always enjoyed cooking, so chopping ingredients was a fun way to relieve stress. The only thing is that even with gloves on, I’m stressed I still have the smell of onions on my right hand for at least a week. Everyone was very kind to me, and I would like to go back again. Our topic is the change in health care by COVID-19. The world over, the impact of the COVID-19 is that more people are unemployed, and more people are undernourished. I thought it was a good experience for me to be able to enjoy helping them because this service will help a lot of people in such a situation. I also think that volunteering will help reduce stress in terms of mental health, as it will allow me to interact with a variety of people.
