I visited Cradle to Crayon. I volunteered there to sort clothes to donate to a 12-year-old girl. Pants, sweatshirts, t-shirts, etc., are all put into one set and donated to one girl. We work in groups to make one set. Our group decided on each type of clothing, and we would make a set and pack it into a plastic bag. It was difficult not just to find dirty items but to check sizes and make sure they were brand new and not seasonal at the same time. But it was fun to imagine that the clothes we sorted would be in the hands of children and make them happy. It was the first time for me to know that there is so much work involved in donating, so I am glad I had the opportunity to experience it. Our topic was health changed by COVID-19. I think the number of people asking for donations has increased due to the impact of COVID-19 on their income. However, I thought it was important to make sure that we have taken the right measures against COVID-19 in making donations.
