I went to the aquarium on March 2.
Our research theme was coral reefs. During this field trip, we were not only able to see the reefs and the creatures that live there, but we were also able to ask questions to the aquarium staff.
I have been to aquariums before, but this was the first time for me to pay attention to coral reefs, and it was very interesting. Seventy percent of the earth’s oxygen comes from the ocean. Coral reefs support about 8,000 species of fish and 400 species of hard coral reefs. Coral reefs are threatened with extinction despite the fact that they are essential not only to the ocean but also to human life. The crisis introduced at the aquarium was due to global warming. Rising water temperatures are altering ocean connections. Seeing the beautiful coral and fish reminded me that we must think and act to protect our coral reefs.
We told with the staff. According to the staff, the very large coral reef in the aquarium’s largest tank is a fake. The reason is that coral reefs are very large and very heavy, and they are created over a long period of time. We also asked what we could do to communicate the importance of coral reefs. The staff told us about the importance of education. The importance of coral reefs is a topic that we should learn about as education.
