I went to Waterworks Museum on January 27th, 2022.
I learned that the reason we are able to drink and use clean water today is because of the history of making it happen. Since 1800, Boston has been home to a large number of people, and with that came the need to transport more water. The engines became larger and more powerful. The building is full of those opportunities and is very powerful and impressive.
We also broke up into groups and discussed the water problems that are happening on the earth now. We talked about the lack of water in the Amazon River and the hardships faced by the people who depend on it for their livelihoods. The reason for the lack of water is that it doesn’t rain very often. So, when we learned that there was a device that could turn ocean water into drinking water, we proposed it as a solution. However, it may not be practical to use this device because it requires a lot of money. However, we can’t live without water. I thought that each and every one of us must think of a solution.
