Eastie farm was created in the spring of 2015 based on the ideas of neighborhood residents. And they contribute to a variety of things. They pursue climate justice through their work, promoting access to food and community resilience. Anyone can volunteer and serve as an educational opportunity for local children. One of their initiatives is to use food scraps as fertilizer and collect and use rainwater. I asked them if there is a relationship between maintaining clean water and urban agriculture. Food scraps are related to water pollution. Food scraps are related to water pollution, but using them in urban agriculture is not a fundamental solution because they do not eliminate all. If urban agriculture becomes larger and food scraps are eliminated, water quality will improve.
