On March 3, Sara, a guest speaker, talked to us. Then, I learned a lot about her education and the importance of core values.
One Bead’s, Sara’s company, provides leadership education to children, primarily online. Some of the children participating in her project focused on climate change which is related to my research mission. I was most surprised that they have worked with non-profit organizations and experts by researching sea-level rise in Boston. Through my research with Climate action and Life Below Water, I found that promoting education was the most effective way to solve the problems. After listening to her talk, I knew it was essential to give people the opportunity to learn about climate change and other contemporary issues.
In addition, Sara also talked about the importance of core values. When we are trying to contribute to something, we should be willing to understand others and respect their cherished beliefs, rather than blindly giving something away.
I would recommend this research mission to anyone interested in learning more about leadership and education.
