Products with braille

I went to Maruichi on February 27.

I went to Maruich which is a Japanese market in Coolidge Corner to take pictures that are Japanese products with braille. in Japan, there is a lot of products with braille. For example, the bottle of shampoo has a kind of braille. It’s not real braille. And, actually, it is not only for blind people. It is also for us. Even if we close our eyes while I’m in the shower, we can recognize which is shampoo or conditioner. Before researching the blind in this class, I thought to have braille on the bottle of shampoo is common all over the world. But, when I went to CVS, I realized there is no braille on it. The woman in Perkins school who I interviewed said this topic is still discussed now in the U.S. So in the future, in America, I guess the bottle of shampoo will also have braille. Another example is the bottle of the source. On the top of the lid, they have actual braille. So blind people can recognize what is the products. I couldn’t find other products in Maruich. But in Japan, I have seen ketchup, mayonnaise, and canned drinks. So I think blind people can live more comfortably than other countries that don’t have much braille.
