I went to Food Bank to do volunteering on Mar 10th.
We made food packages. One box has three food packs and includes canned meals, cereals, and rice.
I was shocked that 40% of food is wasted in America. It means the same as all Japanese throw away one meal.
I never felt that people were suffering food shortage in Japan, and I didn’t imagine Boston had that problem. COVID-19 exacerbated the problem all over the world. People need to be aware of it and reduce food waste.
In the end, they gave us a document which wrote about how many results we made. It is good to know what we could have done by our activity.
