Cradles to Crayons

I did volunteer work at cradles to crayons on March 2nd. I learned that compassion is an important part of volunteering. I had wanted to volunteer, but it was my first volunteer experience. When I assort clothes, I had to look after a few things. For example, clothes should have no rips, stains, pilling, and holiday or family references. I was working on these points. However, when the staff checked the cloth, he found a small lint. I did not notice that. I felt that the staff cared about making sure the kids got clothes they were happy with. I thought they wanted to help children and make them happy. I was surprised at the amount of clothes there were. I thought it may be hard work to gather so much clothing and sort them. My research mission is plastic issues, so I thought it did not seem to have any involvement with this volunteer. However, I realized that both are related in terms of reducing waste. I am researching how to reduce plastic waste and Cradles to Crayons contributed to reduce waste because they gathered used clothes and donated them. More plastic is recycled, which would help solve the problem. I was surprised to see so much used clothes, so I wanted to ask how do they collect that many used clothes. I would recommend this place to anyone who has never volunteered because it is easy to work with and easy to understand what to do.
