I did volunteer for the first. I coordinate girls’ clothes. I learned 1 in 3 children in Massachusetts is at risk of experiencing clothing insecurity. During volunteer, we should check the size, stains, sports team name family name. Even small stains we should separate them because this organization aims to high quality. They think about children who are getting clothes from them strongly. I impressed a women’s words, “it should be good quality because it’s only clothes for children. I don’t want to make children sad. ” I notice clothes are how precious for children to hear that. The most surprising thing is they think about wearing situation. In the case of sports team name, if the child wears clothes which are printed sports team name, it can be cause bully in school. They predict those things, then decide the rule. I didn’t imagine that kind of thing would happen so I was surprised.
My topic is poverty so It can relate to a solution. If many people join this volunteer it can be a big solution. The new question is I saw many donated clothes. It includes pretty dresses so I wonder how many clothes which can donate are thrown away in the world. I think it can be a big number. I would recommend anyone who wants to help someone. I really enjoy this volunteer so I want to join again.
