Eastie Farm

I went to Eastie Farm on February 10th. Eastie farm makes soil uses food waste. I am interested in the issue of food waste. Food waste is a serious issue in Japan too. According to the Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries, 570 million tons of food is thrown every year even they can eat. So, the action of eastie farm is a good solution to reduce food waste, even if only slightly. Also, it is good for the environment. Staff told us the reason that they save rainwater. They keep them because of rainwater damage to the neighborhood. They contribute to solving the rainwater problem for local people. Also, rainwater is better than tap water because rainwater doesn’t include chemicals. My topic is the abuse of children and women, so it doesn’t relate to my topic. But, Eastie Farm is a food-growing community space. People can build a local community. By making the community, I think it can avoid abuse because they can communicate and consult each other.
