waterworks Museum

I went to Waterworks Museum on January 26th. The location is near Reservoir station. I did not know the meaning of reservoir. Definition of Reservoir is “A natural or artificial lake where water is stored before pipes take it to houses, etc.” or “A place in an engine or a machine where a liquid is kept before it is used.” A long time ago, people in Boston did not have enough water supply technologies. They produced clean water to use wooden pipes instead of steel pipes or plastic pipes in 1795. However, something was happening about water. After twenty years later, due to some problems such as rapid population growth and water dirty water, water pollution, Boston needed more and more clean water. Since then, a pumping service has opened at Chestnut Hill. So, Boston is said that it has a high-quality water system in the U.S. That is why Boston is an old city and has many histories. Therefore, I recognized this area called Reservoir.

When everyone divided the group and discussed problems in each country, I thought about Mexican issues. Mexico has problems challenging water such as drought, flood, lack of clean water. I do not know it is good to say being interested, but having different issues in each country is interesting. I could not find anything related to my topic, but I want to know whether the demand for clean water has increased due to COVID-19. I recommend this area to anyone who learns clean water and sanitation, number 6, and life below water, number 14.
