I went to New England Aquarium with Misaki and Yuumi on Feb 26th.
I had been wanted to visit the aquarium regardless of our research, so I was excited. But I felt the ticket cost was high! I hope my money is used to save animals.
The aquarium had many panels which tell visitors about problems and the importance of the environment. I feel I’ve never seen such exhibitions in Japanese aquariums.
Marine animals are harmed mainly through human activities. I researched climate change, and of course, they affected their lives, but there are also many other problems like industry. Speaking of penguins, oil spills and pollution coats their feathers, and it causes them sick by grooming the skin.
The world has some sanctuaries, but I thought it was not enough to protect the species and the environment.
Visiting the aquarium was a good opportunity to think about the globe. It made me want to take action against them. I want to visit again.
