I saw a small business at Jamaica Plain on Feb 24th. I saw a shop with a wheelchair mark. When someone presses the bell, the people in the shop seem to help that person. I understood that it is closely related to the community. Also, some restaurants seem that tried to use no plastic, such as using paper containers. In addition, I heard that in this area, wooden and plastic houses are being built separately. I found this idea of reusing trashed materials to be very wonderful so well. Then, a small business means a store with five or fewer employees. So I learned that there was little traffic and not much need for a parking lot. I think it’s also good that the sandwiches and other ingredients are locally produced. The use of local products must be the reason why they can offer their products to customers at a reasonable price. The most interesting thing for me was a storage facility ( looks like a refrigerator). I was impressed by the idea of sharing them together, not throwing them away. A matter related to my topic, which I’ve already told above, is the set of wheelchair marking. I’d like to introduce this idea to Japan, such as separating buildings and strategies for developing small businesses.
