Climate/Environmental Protection Sustainable Consumption/Production Uncategorized Zero Hunger

What Eastie Farm is trying

On February 10th, I visited Eastie Farm as a field trip.

The farm is open in a residential area of East Boston and has some sustainability initiatives underway. They have two major initiatives.

First, they are working on their own to improve modern problems. At their farm, they stored rainwater and used it for agricultural purposes. They were also composting food waste and growing the next crop by using it. By effectively using and reusing resources in this way, they can cope with issues such as climate change and CO2 emissions, leading to stable agricultural production and resource use.

Secondly, they are working to deepen the relationship between agriculture and people. They have extended their farming community to local residents and children and are involved in various volunteer activities and projects. These efforts encourage people’s active participation in local agriculture and promote understanding and action on agricultural and environmental issues.

The leader of Eastie Farm said that even small things could have a significant effect. Communities like Eastie Farm will help push people to improve agriculture and the environment.
