This shop is 100% single-source coffe shop. It means all of this shop’s coffee beans are grown on thier family farm in Nicaragua. They focus on the quority of coffee, the well being of relationships, and the sustainability of our environment. CARE is important for them. Commitment to consistency in quolity: Ambassador of our socially responsible mission: Relationship are vital because every customer is important: Eco-friendly and sustainable in every step of our coffee chain. These are meaning of CARE. As you can see, they care about relationship with Nicargua and sustainability. The example of sustainability is the packages. They don’t use plastic bag. They put beans into the paper bags. The most suprising things is a third of theris profit go towards funding theirs family farm and providing quality education for wokers and their families. They support community or education by profit. Also all theirs employees receive free housing, 3 meals a day, education for them and theor children, medical care.
My topic is poverty so I can relate to things what I learnd there as a solution to help poverty. If we buy the product which is single source or the profit will support someone, it can help poor people. I’m wondering how many shops do single-source in jamaica plain now? I’d reccomend anyone who want to drink coffee or help poor countries!
