Climate/Environmental Protection

Presentation by British school students

On February 24th, British school students came to our class to give presentations.

I chose to listen to a presentation about climate change because my group is researching climate change and its connection with the ocean.

I was surprised their presentation slides were only sentences except for one slide. I used to put many pictures and fewer words. I also felt their presentation was fast, but I could get new information, anyway. I could not ask them questions and couldn’t answer well.

They mentioned three solutions, funds to companies, carbon tax, and subcommittee. I found carbon tax is interesting. I feel it could work if it happened because people don’t want to spend money on taxes.

Many companies and organizations are trying to solve this problem, and people cooperate with them. But I feel we rarely know how much we have achieved with cooperation. If we could see what we could have done, our motivation would increase.
