I went to some shops at Jamaica Plain that belong to local small businesses. Most stores have four or five employees. It is called JP local first.
I strongly think they are contributing to 14goals “sustainable cities and communities” of SDGs. Because they try to keep the economy going at the Jamaica Plain, they don’t buy something from a chain store. They buy it from local companies. For example, the shop called “city food and supply Natural foods and fair trade organic espresso” treats honey from JP and so on.
The rent is high in that area. In addition, there were times when management was complex because of Corona. But they are working hard for the local community. I strongly felt that I wanted to cheer for you.
