I went to waterworks museum, which is located next to Chestnut Hill Reservoir. It takes just five minutes on foot from Reservoir station. By the way, according to Merriam-Webster, the meaning of reservoir is an artificial lake where water is collected and kept in quantity for use.
We could learn about the history of water in Boston. At the same time, I can see the big engine and understand it visually. The engine was huge. At first, however, it was not as efficient as it is now. Over time, people’s efforts have improved their performance.
We also learned about water and the environment. Countless factors pollute the environment. However, the demonstration showed that we could consider countermeasures. Moreover, there are many water-related problems in the world. For example, even in Los Angeles, there seems to be concern about drought caused by reduced rainfall.
