I interviewed Tamara from the health service on February 19th. I am searching about changing people’s lives due to COVID-19. So, I learned the situation in the U.S. She said there were many mental health problems for Americans after the pandemic. Many Americans adjusted wearing masks, but they still feel uncomfortable putting them on American like talking, traveling, eating WITH someone, but they could do this so much. These are the causes of stress. And when she is in the meeting, she mediates with the Showa Tokyo staff and Showa Boston staff about students’ activities restrictions. It sounds complicated because she said there are culture shocks between Japan and the U.S. Japan is severe restrictions.
It was surprising that the American government gave each person the nation’s benefits. This amount is about one thousand dollars three times. And also, the government-provided fifty million dollars in benefits for restaurant owners. I could not believe it because we got only one thousand yen, one thousand dollars, each person ONCE, and two masks for each household from the Japanese government. And there was not enough support for self-employed restaurants.
Our topic is health so that all new knowledge can be helpful. Especially, information based on the data is most beneficial for us. I have a question about American health insurance. It isn’t straightforward, so I want to ask a detail. This blog is for Anyone who wants to learn COVID-19 and mental health.
