I went to Eastie Farm as a field trip.
The farm was smaller than I expected but I learned a lot of things about this farm. The staff told us that fresh vegetables and fruit are expensive compared to non fresh vegetables that grown up in the factories. But they sold the fresh vegetables at an affordable price. It is a small farm, so they don’t have enough money to make many vegetables and fruits, so they borrow some money from the government. Also some volunteers help this farm. I was surprised that they grew some vegetables and fruits using rainwater. It is beneficial because it does not cost money and does not contain harmful chemicals, so it is very effective to grow some food and environment. My research topic is poverty in south Sudan but This farm is not connected to it. But they told us they had not done it not yet because this farm is small, but they want to do that someday. Eastie farm is good for anyone who wants to know about environmental issues the importance of using rainwater.
