Water Sanitation

Waterworks Museum

I visited Waterworks Museum on Jan 26th. This place is located near the Reservoir station. I learned why equal water is so important. I found that communities and minorities are affected by unequal environmental issues. I also understood that nature problems are often equated with racism. Then, the role of this facility was particularly interesting to me, as I saw three engines: The Leavitt Pumping Engine, The Allis Engine, and The Worthington Engine. They were interesting to see how each of them adopted new technology whenever they found some problems with the engine or the metal. She told us that Reservoir’s sea level is very high, and I expect it will appear more new original blending in the future. Finally, My research topic is about how’s changing people’s health due to COVID-19. Safe water distribution is necessary for the health of the people. These facilities should also be connected to sustainable communities with local people. I consider that there is a big connection between community and people’s health. I’d like to know if the COVID-19 has caused a change in the need for water.
