I participated in the meeting on zoom on February 7. The speaker who talked about education was Kathereine Oullette. I have known MIT but I did not have knowledge about education at MIT, so it was interesting for me. According to Kathereine Ouellette, equipment like internet access would be free at MIT. Also, there are three long-term benefits of Open learning. The first one is more equitable opportunities. They can open education platforms and engagement units that provide educational opportunities worldwide for those who might not have access. The second one is engaging the whole self. There is a growing urgency to address mental health. The third one is fostering exponential innovation. On the other hand, there are challenges, such as accessibility, scale, and cost. This talk was not connected to our topic. However, it was informative for me.
